• Your name, email address and whether you joined as a student or teacher.
• Your learning activity — such as quizzes taken, answers given, scores, XP and streaks.
• Basic technical information needed for the site to work, like your sign-in session.

That's all. We don't ask for your address, phone number or payment details, and there is no need to give us anything more.

Everything we collect exists to make your revision work: to create your account, save your progress so you can pick up where you left off, and keep the platform running securely.

Your name and account type are used to set up your profile and tailor the experience (for example, teacher tools). Your email address is used to sign you in and to send essential account emails, such as the confirmation link when you create an account. We don't use it for anything else.

Your quiz scores, answers, XP and streaks are stored so the Progress page can show you how you're doing and which topics need more practice. This activity is yours alone — it is analysed for you, not compared or published.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. It isn't shared with advertisers or data brokers, full stop.

Other students can't see your name, email, scores or progress. Learning activity is private to you and, where relevant, to platform administrators who maintain the service.

Please don't enter unnecessary sensitive personal information into the platform — things like health details, identity documents or financial information. ChemExplorer is a study tool and has no reason to hold that kind of data.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, such as encrypted connections, secure sign-in, and access controls that limit who can reach account data.

That said, no online service can guarantee absolute security. While we work hard to protect your data, we can't promise that any internet-based service is completely immune from incidents.

You can ask us to correct or delete your information at any time. We'll action requests promptly, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements (for example, records we must retain briefly for security or service integrity).
